Wavelength. The wavelength is the distance between peaks (or troughs) of a sinusoidal waveform. Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM). Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) is the sharing of an optical fibre channel by providing multiple channels, each of which modulates a laser of different wavelength. Wide area network (WAN).
