Information on NIC

NICs (NICs) provide the interface between the network device (say the PC) and the network. Different cards are required depending on the media access technique (such as Ethernet or Token Ring) and the type of network device, as well as the local area network (LAN) physical medium (coaxial cable, twisted pair or fibre optic cable).
