Information on VHF

The VHF band is a radio-frequency (RF) band in the range 30-300 MHz. The VHF band can be used for communications systems such as television, which require the transmission of large bandwidths over short distances (generally line-of-sight). Small, directional antennas are economical and effective. The VHF band is used for fixed communications services, ground-to-air communications, mobile services, and television.
