Information on Carrier

A carrier is a continuous frequency that is at the desired channel frequency. The carrier is modulated or impressed with a second (information carrying) signal to translate that information from baseband frequencies to occupy the desired channel.
     The term carrier is also used to describe a telecommunications carrier is a company that provides telecommunications services.
