Communications Systems — Network operating system
Information on Network operating system (NOS)
The network operating system (NOS) is the central software on a network. The NOS runs on the network server and provides the basis for resource sharing by the other devices on the network. Largely, the network operating system does for the network what an operating system (OS) does for a personal computer.
