Information on Conductance

When a voltage potential is placed across a wire, the number of electrons that will flow will depend on the degree of freedom of electrons in the conducting wire. The ability of the wire to conduct is called conductance, but this property of the wire is normally considered in terms of how it restricts the flow of electrons, that is its resistance. Resistance is measured in ohms (W).
