The corner-reflector antenna may be constructed in the VHF band,
particularly upper VHF. The corner-reflector antenna is predominantly used on
line-of-sight radio relay links and consists of a normal half-wave
dipole in front of a corner reflector which
acts as a mirror. The antenna has a similar radiation
pattern to the Yagi antenna with an average gain of
about 9 dB.
