Information on Ka-band Horn Antenna

An X-band horn antenna couples energy between a waveguide and free space. An important function of the Ka-band horn antenna is impedance matching.
A Ka-band horn antenna is usually optimised to work in the Ka band band. For example, in a satellite antenna, a Ka-band horn antenna is often placed at the focus of a parabolic antenna. A different horn antenna would usually be used in each of the X band, C band, Ku band and Ka band.
