Information on Monopole Antenna

A monopole antenna is a resonant antenna that can be thought of as being one arm of a dipole antenna, with the other arm having been removed.
The optimal length of a monopole antenna is one quarter of the wavelength of the signal being received or transmitted by the antenna.
A monopole antenna is a narrowband antenna, operating efficiently in only a narrow band of frequencies.
Monopole antennas are used in in all frequency bands.
