A UHF Adcock antenna is made up of four
antenna elements (each of which is usually a monopole antenna),
each of which is mounted at a corner of a
square.
The most common application of the UHF Adcock antenna
is in electronic warfare, where it is used for direction
finding (DF) against UHF transmitters.
A UHF Adcock antenna receives
vertically polarised radiation, and is directional in the vertical plane.
