Description

A freezer is used to preserve food by freezing. Because it is kept at a much lower temperature, food typically keeps for much longer in a freezer than a refrigerator.
    

Different types of Freezer

  • An upright freezer has the door at the front
  • A chest freezer has the door at the top. A chest freezer can often by more energy efficient than an upright freezer.

  • Adjustable temperature
  • Automatic defrost—advantageous if you want to open the freezer regularly, but may compromise the energy efficiency and life of food.

  • Compiance with safety requirements.
  • Temperature uniformity and stability. Check reviews, but a chest freezer may be better
