    DSL (Digital Subscriber Line).  DSL (digital subscriber line) allows broadband data services, such as broadband Internet access, to be carried on conventional copper pair telephone cables.

    DSL Broadband (Digital Subscriber Line Broadband).  DSL broadband (Digital subscriber line) refers to a number of technologies that allow broadband data services to be carried on conventional copper pair telephone cables.

    DSL Modem (Digital Subscriber Line Modem).  In a DSL broadband Internet connection, the DSL modem is in the customer's premises, and is used to encode signals sent to the ISP and decode signals received over the DSL channel from the ISP.

    DSL Router (Digital Subscriber Line Router).  An DSL router is used in DSL broadband Internet access to separate a customer's local network from the DSL network operator's network.

    DSL Speed (Digital Subscriber Line Speed).  The various DSL connections provide different tradeoffs between uplink and downlink speed, and different ranges of speed.

    DSL Splitter (Digital Subscriber Line Splitter).  DSL Splitter is another term for DSL switch.

    DSL Switch (Digital Subscriber Line Switch).  A Broadband Internet is a switch that is integrated with a DSL modem, and possibly other components supporting a DSL connection.
