Information on Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line Splitter

An Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line Splitter is required in ADSL systems to all a broadband signal and a conventional telephone signal to be carried over the same channel.
     An Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line Splitter is a three-port device, with one port for the external connection to the telephone exchange, one for the internal analog telephone connection and one for the internal broadband connection. An Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line Splitter is a frequency division multipler/demultiplexer, multiplexing outgoing signals to the telephone exchange and demultiplexing signals received.
