Information on Network Address Translation Firewall

A Network Address Translation Firewall is a firewall with an integrated NAT router. An important security feature of a Network Address Translation Firewall is its natural ability to prevent incoming TCP connections, completely preventing many common network attacks. A Network Address Translation Firewall may also have other features commonly found in a firewall, including port blocking and various monitoring functions.
