Information on x Digital Subscriber Line Router

An x Digital Subscriber Line Router is used in xDSL broadband Internet access to separate a customer's local network from the xDSL network operator's network. In order to allow multiple network devices on the internal network to share a single IP address allocated by the xDSL ISP (Internet service provider), an x Digital Subscriber Line Router normally includes a NAT router. An x Digital Subscriber Line Router may provide a number of ports for the local network; one common configuration provides four 100baseT, 100 Mbps Ethernet lines.
