Information on x Digital Subscriber Line Speed

The various xDSL connections provide different ranges of speed, and different tradeoffs between uplink and downlink speed. The x Digital Subscriber Line Speed available to a customer depends on the limitations of the network and the policies of the service provider. A service provider may charge a higher rate for the highest speed DSL connection.
     The speed experienced by the user depends on the amount of congestion in the ISP's network and external network connections, as well as the x Digital Subscriber Line Speed.
