A cable television system provides a number of analog
television channels, some of which may carry digital television signals
or data and other services. Where digital television signals are
carried, these are modulated to have the same bandwidth as
an analog channel, and to be carried in a channel
of the same bandwidth.
Most cable television systems share the
capacity of one analog television channel between a number of
data users.
