Information on Cable Broadband

Cable broadband Internet access piggy-backs onto a pre-existing cable television system. One or more of the cable channels is given over to the cable broadband service. Typically a number of users share each of the cable channels carrying the broadband service.
Cable broadband provides a duplex link within the cable infrastructure. Cable broadband does not, therefore, require a separate back channel.
