Information on DSL Router

An DSL router is used in DSL broadband Internet access to separate a customer's local network from the DSL network operator's network. An DSL router is usually integrated with the DSL modem, and supports one of

  • ADSL
  • HDSL
  • SDSL
  • VDSL

  •      In order to allow multiple network devices on the internal network to share a single IP address allocated by the DSL ISP (Internet service provider), an DSL router normally includes a NAT router. An DSL router may provide a number of ports for the local network; one common configuration provides four 100baseT, 100 Mbps Ethernet lines.
