Information on NAT Router

A NAT router is a router that supports the NAT protocol to allow the internal address space to be independent of the Internet's global address space, and to provide translation between internal and global address spaces. A NAT router is a common component of many types of broadband router.
Connecting through a NAT router to some games servers is problematic, because the games server relies on the IP address it sees belonging to the computer from which the game is being played. Work arounds are sometimes possible.
