Information on PPPoE

PPPoE (PPP over Ethernet) uses PPP over an Ethernet network. PPPoE is sometimes used on broadband Internet connections.
     The use of PPPoE adds extra overhead to the Ethernet frame, reducing the maximum frame length from 1500 bytes to 1492 bytes.

  • 3Com.  Products from 3Com include Wireless Router, Wireless xDSL Access, and NAT VPN
  • Netgear.  Products from Netgear include NAT Router, Broadband Modem, ADSL Router, NAT VPN and Repeater
  • Dlink.  Products from Dlink include xDSL Modem, DSL Switch, Broadband Switch, Broadband Router and Cable Modem
