Information on VDSL Splitter

An VDSL Splitter is required in VDSL systems to all a broadband signal and a conventional telephone signal to be carried over the same channel.
     An VDSL Splitter is a three-port device, with one port for the external connection to the telephone exchange, one for the internal analog telephone connection and one for the internal broadband connection. An VDSL Splitter is a frequency division multipler/demultiplexer, multiplexing outgoing signals to the telephone exchange and demultiplexing signals received.
