Information on VPN

A VPN (virtual private network) provides a secure, virtual tunnel between two network devices. A common use of a VPN is to allow a remote user to connect to an organisation's network with priviledges associated with the "inside" of the network, rather than being treated as "outside" the network (and therefore the firewall.)
