Information on Battery Type

The internal rechargeable battery in a CDMA mobile phone is usually one of three types:

  • Lithium

  •
  • Nickel-cadmium

  •
  • Nickel-metal hydride

  •      Nickel-cadmium batteries are subject to the memory effect, which means that they should always be fully discharged before charging, and then fully charged.
Lithium batteries provide highest energy density of these types.
