Information on A8 Key Generation

The GSM A8 algorithm is used in GSM networks to exchange a session key that is can be used to encrypt voice and data calls. The A8 algorithm is a one-way function implemented in the subscriber identity module (SIM)
     Each GSM network is free to choose its own A8 algorithm.
