Information on GSM Interference

Any radio transmitter has the potential to cause interference with other electronic equipment. GSM mobile phones, because they transmit data in short time division multiple access (TDMA) bursts, are often believed to cause worse interference than other types of mobile telephone.
Interference from GSM mobile phones can often be heard on analog radios and fixed telephones.
