Information on Modem Cable

A modem cable is used to connect a modem to a computer. The term modem cable may refer to a USB cable used to connect a USB modem, or more commonly to a cable connecting a modem to the RS-232 (communications) port of a computer.
     An older meaning of the term "modem cable" is to refer to an RS-232 cable in which the connections are not crossed over.
