Information on PCMCIA Modem

A PCMCIA Modem is a modem that is plugged into the PCMCIA port of a computer, usually a notebook computer. Because of the size limitations of the PCMCIA slot, a PCMCIA modem often comes in two parts. One part connects to the computer's PCMCIA port. The other part lies outside the PCMCIA slot and connects to the telephone line.
