Information on V.22bis

V.22bis is an ITU standard for PSTN modems with a maximum bit rate of 2.4 kbps. V.22bis has the following characteristics:

  • Maximum bit rate: 2.4 kbps
  • Baud rate: 600
  • Compression: V.42bis/MNP5
  • Error correction: V.42/MNP 4
  • Modulation: 4QAM
