Information on V.32bis Modem

V.32bis is an ITU standard for PSTN modems with a maximum bit rate of 14.4 kbps. V.32bis has the following characteristics:

  • Maximum bit rate: 14.4 kbps
  • Baud rate: 2400
  • Compression: V.42bis/MNP5
  • Error correction: V.42/MNP 4
  • Modulation: 6QAM and TCM
