Information on V.32 Modem

V.32 is an ITU standard for PSTN modems with a maximum bit rate of 9.6 kbps. V.32 has the following characteristics:

  • Maximum bit rate: 9.6 kbps
  • Baud rate: 2400
  • Compression: V.42bis/MNP5
  • Error correction: V.42/MNP 4
  • Modulation: 4QAM and TCM
