Communications Planning. Communications planning is the act of planning the information requirements of the various stakeholders to ensure that the necessary communications systems are available for information distribution. Contingency Planning. Contingency planning involves ensuring that the project is able to accommodate the occurrence of any risk events. Contract. The contract is a mutually binding agreement between two parties. Contract Administration. Contract administration involves managing the relationship between the acquirer (buyer) and developer (seller). Cost Estimating. Cost estimating involves the process of arriving at the planned cost for a project. Earned Value (EV). Earned value (EV) is the amount of the project budget earned by the developer up to a certain point, normally earned so far. EV. See Earned Value. PRINCE2. PRINCE2 is the latest version of PRINCE®, which is a project management methodology covering the organisation, management and control of projects. Project. Project management is the process whereby a centralised authority manages project activities. Project Management Methodology. A project management methodology is used to collect, analyse, and distribute project management artefacts and outcomes to ensure quality and reproducibility. Project Management Training. Project management training is essential because employment of a certified project manager. Project Manager. The project manager is responsible for managing the project. Project Plan. The Project Plan is the document that identifies how the project is to be established, managed and executed. Project Planning. Project planning involves the development and maintenance of the Project Plan. Project schedule. See Schedule. Project Scope Management. Project scope management aims to ensure that all work required for the project is carried out, without any effort being wasted on extraneous activities that are outside the scope of the project. Project Time Management. Project time management aims to ensure that a project is completed on time. Schedule (Project schedule). The project schedule outlines the planned start and finish dates and the durations of activities. Tasks. Tasks are the lowest level of break down in a project schedule. Tender. The tender is the formal document by which an acquirer (a buyer) calls for tenders from potential developers (sellers). Time Management Tools.
