Schedule (Project schedule). The project schedule outlines the planned start and finish dates and the durations of activities. Schedule Compression. Schedule compression involves a reduction in the overall duration of project, without reducing the project scope. Schedule Control. Schedule control is the formal process of controlling changes to the project activities. Schedule Development. Schedule development is the formal process by which activities are estimated and sequenced in accordance with their dependencies. Schedule Management. Schedule management encompasses those activities undertaken by project managers and other managers in managing their schedules. Scheduling. Scheduling is another term for schedule control. Scope. The scope is the complete set of activities that must be undertaken to complete a project. Scope Change Control. Scope change control is the formal process through which changes to the project scope are analysed and controlled. Software Project Management Tools. Software project management tools are used to collect, analyse, and distribute project management artefacts and outcomes for software-based projects. Software Project Management Training. Software project management training is undertaken to train prospective software project managers in project management techniques methodologies for software-based components. Solicitation. Solicitation is the act of obtaining quotations, bids, tenders, offers or proposals. Source Selection. Source selection (or tender evaluation) involves the selection of a preferred tenderer, or tenderers. Stakeholder. A stakeholder is any individual, group of individuals, or organisation whose interests, needs and opinions must be taken into account during the conduct of the project. Start Date. The start date is the date on which an activity is started. Statement of Work (SOW). The statement of work (SOW) is a description of the work, products and services required to be delivered under a contract. Book ListsScope Management.
