Information on Milestones

Milestones are points in the project schedule each of which represents significant event. Each of the milestones would normally involve a deliverable and may also be a point at which the contract may call for a payment (milestone payment) in accordance with earned value (EV). Milestones are significant measures for removing schedule and cost risk in a project.
