Information on Negotiation

Contract negotiation occurs when the customer has selected a preferred tenderer and wishes to negotiate terms and conditions to establish an agreed contract that will cover the project. Contract negotiation occurs at the beginning of the acquisition phase of a project Normally only one tenderer is chosen for contract negotiation, although parallel negotiations may be undertaken with a number of tenderers. Contract negotiation is an important activity as the resultant contract will dictate the events for the remainder of the acquisition.
