The Project Management Institute (PMI) was established in 1969. The Project Management Institute currently has its headquarters outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. As well as a range of activities as a professional organisation, the Project Management Institute (PMI) is responsible for certifying project managers and such documents as the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
