Information on RAM

RAM has electrical properties similar to free space. When radar impacts RAM, the energy acts as though it "sees" infinite free space instead of a boundary. The absorbed electromagnetic energy is dissipated as heat and very little energy is reflected.
The disadvantages of RAM include additional weight, expense, heating problems and aerodynamic drag (if applicable).

Other topics in our resources on Radar related to RAM include:

  • electronic protection (EP)
  • radar absorbing
