Electronic warfare (EW) describes techniques that exploit an adversary's use of the electromagnetic spectrum or defend friendly use of the electromagnetic spectrum. There are three subdivisions of EW:

  • Electronic Support,
  • Electronic Attack and
  • Electronic Protection
