Information on Ground Radar

Ground radar is used to observe targets either on the surface of the earth, or airborne targets.
A ground radar is often physically larger and heavier than an airborne radar because it is not subject to the same pressures as a system mounted in an aircraft. Additional size can lead directly to better performance in some radar components, such as a radar antenna.
