Radar — Radar Detector

Information on Radar Detector

A radar detector warns its user when it detects a radar signal. A radar detector may be designed to detect only specific threat radars with predefined characteristics. Alternatively, a radar detector may be triggered by any signal in a particular frequency band.
     A police radar detector is a commercial radar detector that is designed to detect police radar. Use of a police radar detector is illegal in many areas.
     A radar warning receiver (RWR) is a type of radar detector commonly used in military systems to detect when the platform is illuminated by an adversary's radar.
