Information on Radar Jammer

A radar jammer is a type of jammer designed specifically designed to jam radar receivers. A radar jammer may aim simply to swamp the radar receiver to prevent it from receiving the returns from targets. Alternatively, a more sophisticated radar jammer may attempt to transmit a signal that will cause false targets to be detected by the radar.
Jamming techniques commonly employed by a radar jammer include:

  • a spot jamming
  • barrage jamming, and
  • sweep jamming.

  •      A radar jammer may also be used to jam police radar. The use of such devices is illegal in many places; even possession is sometimes illegal.
