Information on Satellite environment

The design, launch and operation of satellite systems are significantly affected by the nature of the satellite environment in which they operate. The satellite environment is predominantly in cislunar space, which is the region of space between the Earth's surface and the Moon. The satellite environment can be very harsh, significantly increasing the cost of operation.
