Information on Subwoofer

A subwoofer is a very-low frequency speaker, operating at even lower frequencies than a woofer. Because it is designed to operate at very low frequencies, a subwoofer is usually a large speaker, often with a diameter of 12 inches or more.
Used in conjunction with a high-quality speaker system, a subwoofer can significantly enhance the impact of bass (i.e. low-frequency) signals.
