    Acceptance Test And Evaluation (AT&E).  Acceptance Test and Evaluation (AT&E) provides formal acceptance testing on behalf of customer.

    Acquirer.  The acquirer is responsible for the project management and systems engineering activities associated with the acquisition of the system in accordance with the user requirements.

    Acquisition Phase.  In the Acquisition Phase the system is developed from a single statement of need to a deliverable system with all supporting, or enabling, products.

    Allocated Baseline.  The Allocated Baseline is the product of the Preliminary Design stage of the system lifecycle.
