Enabling Product. An enabling product is a product developed during the systems engineering process that supports the end product in getting into service, while in service, or during disposal. End Product. The end product of the systems engineering process is the portion of the delivered system that performs the operational functions of the system. Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). An Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) provides the vehicle by which a change request is considered. Entry Criteria. Entry criteria define the satisfactory start point for an activity (normally a review) as part of the system lifecycle. Entry criteria must be met before the activity can begin. Evolutionary Acquisition. Evolutionary acquisition is a system lifecycle model that allows a system to be developed when there is not a clear-cut definition of the user requirements. Exit Criteria. Exit criteria define the set of conditions or achievements that must exist before the activity is considered to be completed satisfactorily and the development can proceed to the next activity in the system lifecycle.
