Legacy System. A legacy system is an existing operational system that must be incorporated into, or interoperable with, the new system. Lifecycle Cost (LCC). Lifecycle cost is the total investment in the entire product development from development of the need, through functional and physical design, production and/or construction, utilisation and disposal. Lifecycle Model. The lifecycle of a system commences with a statement of need and ends with the disposal of the system brought into service to satisfy that need. Logistic Support Concept (LSC). The logistics support concept provides the basis for the logistic support of the operational system. Logistics. Logistics relates to the processes of obtaining and distributing the materiel required to support operational systems.
