Tailoring.  Tailoring is the process by which the customer and the contractor omit irrelevant sections of a standard to avoid wasting any time in the development effort.

Technical Performance Measure (TPM).  A technical performance measure (TPM) is a key indicator of progress, parameter or a metric that can be used to monitor the progress or performance of selected requirements.

Technical Reviews and Audits Plan (TRAP).  The Technical Reviews and Audits Plan (TRAP) is the principal way of managing the technical review and audit effort.

Technical Risk Management.  Technical risk management is the process by which risks can be identified, quantified, assessed and managed.

Technical Risks.  Technical risks are a measure of the uncertainty of meeting a requirement relating to some technical aspect of a systems engineering effort.

Test And Evaluation (T&E).  The test and evaluation (T&E) effort is aimed at ensuring a consistent and coordinated approach to system testing with a changing focus at each of the lifecycle stages.

Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).  The Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) is the major plan that coordinates the entire test and evaluation effort.

Test Management.  Test management is very important since the test and evaluation effort is a complex and expensive component of a project.

Test Procedure.  A test procedure is written to test a component, module, subsystem or the system.

Test Readiness Review (TRR).  The Test Readiness Review (TRR) is an important review to avoid committing test and evaluation resources needlessly.

Test Report.  A test report reports the results of a test procedure.

Trade-Off Study.  A trade-off study is a constrained objective evaluation of alternatives at a point in the design process where a decision needs to be made, or can be made, between alternative approaches.

Training.  Training is an important part of a system since it is unlikely that the delivered system has been operated, maintained or supported by the user before.
