Information on AT&E
AT&E provides formal acceptance testing
on behalf of customer. AT&E therefore
forms the boundary between the Acquisition Phase and the Utilisation
Phase. AT&E can be conducted by
the customer before accepting the system, but it is more
common these days for the customer to approve the test
procedures and ten oversee the contractor conduct the testing.
Acceptance Test
and Evaluation is focused on confirming that delivered system
meets the system-level requirements contained in the contractual documents (normally
the System Specification and the Functional Baseline).
On successful conclusion of
AT&E, the system is accepted and
will formally enter the Utilisation Phase.
