Information on CMP
The CMP is a major systems engineering
document. The CMP defines the approved configuration
management process to be applied to the project. Normally two
CMPs will be developed over the lifecycle of
the system: one developed by the contractor during the Acquisition
Phase and one by the user/customer in the Utilisation Phase.
The
content and layout of the CMP will
vary from system to system and will be determined by
the customer organisation and specified in the contract.
MIL-STD-973 is the
principal configuration management standard.
