Information on TRR
Testing is expensive and time-consuming and uses highly trained personnel
and specialised facilities and test equipment. Consequently, the Test Readiness
Review is one of the major reviews
that is used to avoid committing test and evaluation resources
needlessly. The TRR can be used
to demonstrate the readiness of configuration items to enter test
and evaluation.
To assess the readiness of a configuration item for
test, the following is reviewed: Test and Evaluation Master Plan
(TEMP); relevant test and evaluation procedures; formal and informal test
results so far; supporting documentation such as operator and maintenance
manuals; Development Specifications and Product Specifications; and appropriate support and
test equipment; test facilities.
